HEKE
HEKE Privacy Policy
Last updated: 28 September 2026
HEKE (“the App”, shown on the home screen as Heke) is a local-first weight-journey tracker published by S Factor Technologies. This policy applies wherever you install the App, including the Apple App Store and Google Play. It explains what the App stores on your device, what (if anything) leaves the device, and how optional features work. It is not legal advice.
1. Who we are
The App is provided by S Factor Technologies (Malaysia business registration no. 003880437-T). There is no HEKE cloud account and no HEKE-operated backend in the current version. We do not receive a copy of your journey unless you choose to send us a file (for example as an attachment to a support email).
For privacy questions, contact sfactortechnologies@gmail.com.
2. What we collect (and what we do not)
For Apple App Privacy and Google Play Data safety: the current version does not collect personal data from your device and does not share personal data with third parties. “Collect” here means transmit off the device to us or to a server we control. We do not use the App to track you across apps or websites, and we do not use advertising identifiers.
The App Store and Google Play may collect install, device or purchase information under their own policies. That information is processed by Apple or Google, not by HEKE.
3. Data stored on your device
The App stores the following on the device you use it on (a local database and the operating system’s local settings). This is health- and fitness-related information you choose to enter. It stays on that device unless you export it.
- Profile details: optional display name, gender, height, starting weight, goal weight and start date
- Weigh-ins: date, weight, optional body fat, visceral fat and water, optional muscle mass stored in kilograms and shown in your chosen weight unit, optional waist, hips, chest, thigh and arm measurements, and notes
- Progress photos you attach (stored in the local database, not uploaded)
- Optional notes (including a mood field if present in a backup you restore)
- Your choice of weight and length units
- Whether the optional log reminder is turned on
This information is used only to provide the App’s features on that device — for example Home, Progress, Trends, Log, Journey, History, Profile and an on-device Journey Report. BMI, weekly change, milestone estimates, logging streak and any estimated goal date are calculated on the device from the numbers you enter. An estimated goal date uses your average pace so far; it is not a forecast we store off-device and not a promise of when you will reach your goal.
BMI uses height and weight with adult World Health Organization categories (also published by the CDC and NHS). Gender is stored as a profile label you choose; it is not used to calculate BMI.
If you use a web build of the App, the same local database runs in that browser. It stays in that browser’s storage on that device; it is not a HEKE cloud account.
4. What does not leave the device
By default, your journey stays on the device. The App:
- Does not create a HEKE user account or require a sign-in
- Does not sell a subscription or in-app purchase in the current version
- Does not use advertising, an advertising ID, or a third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDK
- Does not sync with Apple Health, Google Health Connect or similar health platforms in the current version
- Does not sell your data
Uninstalling the App, or using Clear all data in Profile, removes local data according to that action and your device’s uninstall behaviour. Export a backup first if you need a copy. Because we do not host your journey, we cannot remotely delete data that exists only on your device or in files you exported.
5. Photos, camera and media
You may attach a progress photo to a weigh-in. The App may ask the operating system for permission to access your photo library or camera. Photos are copied into the App’s local database. They are not uploaded to S Factor Technologies.
Permission names differ by platform (for example Photos on Apple devices, photos and media on Android). You can refuse or later revoke access in system settings. Some features (attaching or saving a photo) will not work without the permission they need.
6. Optional export and restore
If you choose to, you can:
- Export a JSON backup (profile, weigh-ins, notes and photos, with photos encoded in the file)
- Export weigh-ins as CSV (dates, weights, measurements and notes — not photos)
- Restore from a JSON backup you pick, which replaces everything currently on that device
- Make a monthly Journey Report image on the device (from Progress or Journey) and share it through the system share sheet. You can move between months before you share. Each month starts on the 1st and uses the weight already on record at the end of the previous month. The image can include that month’s weight, goal progress, how many weigh-ins you logged, and, when logged on at least two days, body-fat and visceral-fat change. You choose whether the image includes your name. The image is not uploaded to HEKE; you choose who receives it
The App uses the device’s file-save, file-pick and share sheets. You choose where a file or image goes (for example Files, Drive, Photos, Messages or another app). Once it is outside the App, you control it. We do not receive the export or the shared image.
If you open Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, Support, or BMI source links from Profile, the App uses the device browser to load those pages (this website, or the publisher’s site for BMI sources). That visit is not a HEKE account. The pages you open have their own policies.
7. Local reminders
The optional log reminder is a local notification scheduled on the device if you have not logged for about a week. It is not a push notification from a HEKE server. The App reads the device time zone only to schedule that reminder. You can turn it off in Profile. Reminders are available on phones and tablets where the operating system allows local notifications, not in the web build.
The App may ask for notification permission. The operating system may also restart a scheduled reminder after a device reboot. That stays on the device.
8. Health platforms
The current version does not read from or write to Apple Health, Google Health Connect or similar platforms. Weigh-ins are entered manually. If a later version adds a health-platform sync, this policy will be updated before that feature is offered.
9. Third-party software on the device
The App is built with Flutter and uses on-device libraries for storage, charts, photos, files and local notifications. Those components run on your device to provide the App. They are not a HEKE analytics or advertising SDK.
We do not use third-party advertising, analytics or cloud-backend SDKs in the current version.
10. Children
The App is intended for adults tracking their own journey. It is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your country), and it is not part of a designed-for-families programme. Do not use the App to store photos or health information about children.
11. Your choices
You can:
- Use the App entirely offline, without exporting or turning on reminders
- Export JSON or CSV and share, store or delete those files yourself
- Share a Journey Report image through the system share sheet, with or without your name
- Open Privacy Policy, Terms of Use or Support from Profile in the device browser
- Restore from a JSON backup you control
- Delete a photo, edit or delete a weigh-in, or clear all data in Profile
- Turn the reminder off, or revoke notification, camera or photo access in system settings
- Uninstall the App to remove local data
Where a privacy law (including in Malaysia, the EEA, the UK or elsewhere) gives you additional rights such as access or erasure, those rights still apply. For data that exists only on your device, you exercise them with the in-App delete and clear-data controls, or by uninstalling.
12. Changes
We may update this policy when the App’s features or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date will change when material updates are made. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy. If you do not agree, stop using the App and uninstall it.
